UCET TRIP ADVISOR 23RD APRIL 2026
GARREG BOETH MINE
Hi all,
Our Thursday night trip on the 23rd of April will be to Garreg boeth in hendre, a lead mine with interesting old workings. The mine was worked in the 18th and 19th centuries, and then later worked as part of the South Halkyn & Rhydymwyn mine. Keep an eye out for the great geological formations the mine has to offer, including Gower pools, dogtooth crystals and the underwater 'volcanoes' along the floor.
This trip will involve plenty of crawling, mud and waist deep water!
