Hi all,

Steve is heading to poachers this thursday so there's an opportunity for anyone who wants to join that isnt going to Ty Gwyn this week.

Open to non-members

Thought to be over 500,00 years old, the cave is full of interesting passages and formations, including the 'big boss' chandelier chamber, a very rare iscosceles passage, and much more

Great trip for beginners or newer members

Location : Poachers cave (ogof hen ffynhonnau)
Meet Place : Cilcain bridge
Meet Date : 19th March
Meet Time : 18:30
Suitability : Novice
Requirements : Wellies, overalls, helmet, lamp, gloves, optional belt or harness for short entrance lifeline. Any equipment can be borrowed from the club if needed

Not very tall. Crawling job, quite wet so probably one for when we have a bit less rain (it was draining quite well). Only saw the one adit, however this was quite far south of Cris Ebbs' grid ref so this might be the 400ft upstream one. It was as if it had been cut into from above as it headed in two directions, so can't have been the mouth of the adit itself

I might be there, not sure yet
