UCET Trip Advisor - Penarth Slate Quarry - Thursday 24th July 2025

This trip is being put on specifically for those New to Underground Exploring or those that want a slightly slower paced trip, but all are welcome.

Penarth is a medium sized slate quarry above the Corwen area. It has impressively large chambers, an interesting sea bed roof and a surprising amount of hand winches.

Note: There is a half an hour walk uphill to the mine before we get underground.

Meet date:Thursday 24th July 2025
Meet Time: 1830-1845
Equipment needed: Helmet, lamp, wellies, gloves, Old clothes you don't mind getting grubby.
