Hello all, I'm Dominy.
I'm a rock climber based in Ellesmere Port.
As I've spent a lot of time climbing terrain, I've always wondered what's beneath it. This has lead me to find interest in caving.
I've gone off on some very basic walk-in walk-out trips around north Cheshire and have some limited experience in exploring some abandoned bunkers.
But it's not the kind of thing that interests me:

I spend a lot of my time in the forests and on the mountains around the North-West and I have really fallen in love with what nature has to offer, it's so incredibly beautiful and interesting.
So, what really pulls me into this sport is the idea of an entirely different world underground, different kinds of life and terrain that seems almost alien in a place that only few have seen.

Long story short, I'm here to learn about caves and maybe even have the chance to help expand our knowledge of subterranean ecosystems and help preserve the beauty of these hidden places.

Hi Dominy
Welcome to the forum.
We have a trip coming up this Thursday that is a good introduction to caving. If you're free please put your name down here
