Wynne Slate Quarry

November's trip is a visit to Wynne Slate quarry, Glyn Ceiriog. UCET has only recently gained access to this quarry as it is on private property.

Slate was queried here from 1770 to 1926, more recently it was turned into a museum, but this closed in the early 1990's.

Suitable for: Novices - horizontal trip
Equipment needed: Helmet, lamp, gloves, wellies, clothes you don't mind getting grubby.

Please let me know asap if you need to borrow a helmet and lamp.
